Takanori Fukuda ist ein Freund von Rikuo Uozumi, mit dem er auf dieselbe Universität ging, und ein ehemaliger Klassenkamerad von Shinako Morinome. Nach seinem Studium fing er sofort an zu arbeiten. Später verlobte er sich mit Kozue, die in seiner Firma arbeitet, und bat Rikuo, Fotos auf ihrer Hochzeit zu schießen. Er liebt Kozue, aber er betrachtet eine Ehe auch von einem logischen Standpunkt aus. Er konnte durch diese seine Lebenshaltungskosten halbieren, eine größere Wohnung mieten und muss nicht mehr aufräumen, wenn er sie zu sich einlädt. Bis letztes Jahr schenkte er ihr immer etwas zu Weihnachten, doch die beiden entschieden sich, Geld zu sparen, da sie ein Haus bauen wollen.
