Miki Saito ist die Mutter von Miyo Sasaki und die Ex-Frau von Yoji Sasaki. Sie lebt zurzeit alleine und möchte wieder mit ihrer Tochter zusammenleben. Sie versucht, Miyo davon zu überzeugen, bei ihr einzuziehen und bittet sie, ihrem Vater mitzuteilen, dass sie lieber bei ihr wohnen möchte. Miyo ist jedoch der Meinung, dass ihre Mutter sie im Stich gelassen habe. Auf Kaoru Mizutani, die neue Lebensgefährtin ihres Ex-Manns, ist sie nicht gut zu sprechen. Sie meint, diese hätte sich in das Leben ihrer Familie gedrängt. Miyo benimmt sich Kaoru gegenüber meist sehr höflich. Miki jedoch meint, dass ihre Tochter nur zu nett ist, um ihre Unzufriedenheit auszudrücken und sich deshalb verstellt.
