Poncho ist ein sehr unsicherer dicker Mann. Er gewinnt den von Kazuya Souma ausgerufenen Talentwettbewerb, da er große Mengen essen kann. Auch hat er im ganzen Kontinents schon alles Essbare probiert.

Er wird zum Minister zur Bewältigung der Hungerkrise ernannt. Er besucht das ganze Land und stellt regelmäßig seine Erkenntnisse im Jewel Voice Broadcast vor. Er ist auch ein ausgezeichneter Koch.

Durch seine Hilfe bei der Bewältigung von mehreren Hungerkrisen wird er ein sehr angesehener Mann.

Da er sehr naiv ist, stellt ihm Kazuya Serina zur Seite. Sie ist sehr in seine Kochkünste verliebt. Später heiratet er Serina und Komain. Er ist Vater von 2 Töchtern.
