Jeder Mensch, der sich in der Festung Deca-Dence befindet, wird nach seinem Schulabschluss einer bestimmten Einheit zugewiesen. Linmei wurde zur Einheit, die für die Abbrucharbeiten zuständig ist, geschickt. Als Unterstützerin der Gear, welche gegen die bösartigen Gadoll kämpfen, gehört sie somit den Tanker an. Eine ihrer Kolleginnen ist Fei, die – wie auch Natsume – zu Schulzeiten Ziel ihrer Schikanen war. Über Natsume machte sie sich lustig, weil sie nicht bei The Power, der militärischen Einheit der Gear, aufgenommen wurde. Zudem meinte sie, dass Natsumes künstlicher Arm, der ihr so viel bedeutet, nur eine Belastung sei.
