Ursprünglich vom Tochterunternehmen XEBEC gegründet, kümmert diese Abteilung sich hauptsächlich um die Bereiche Key Animation und In-Between Animation.

Nachdem XEBEC im Jahr 2019 aufgrund von finanziellen Schwierigkeiten vom Mutterunternehmen Production I.G. aufgelöst und integriert worden war, entschied man sich, die Abteilung beizubehalten, benannte sie aber in IGzwei um.
