CoMix Wave wurde 1997 als kleines japanisches Animationsstudio in Nagoya, Präfektur Aichi gegründet. Anschließend, im Jahr 2001, bewegte sich der Hauptsitz von Nagoya nach Tokyo, Präfektur Tokyo. Dort eingerichtet, erstellte das Unternehmen sein 4-Divisionen-System, bestehend aus Unterhaltung/Animation, Merchandising, Software und Administration.
Als 2007 das Unternehmen aufgekauft wurde, unterteilte es ihre Divisionen in eigene Firmen, wobei die Division für Administration weg fiel. Folglich entstanden die Firmen Bull's Eye (ehemals Merchandising-Division), CoMix Wave Films (ehemals Unterhaltung/Animations-Division) und minori (ehemals Software-Division).

Das Unternehmen CoMix Wave wurde am 30. März 2007 aufgelöst.
