North Star Pictures Inc. wurde im Juli 2004 als Tochterunternehmen von Coamix gegründet.

Im April 2020 wurde das Unternehmen wieder in das Mutterunternehmen integriert und aufgelöst. Dabei wird vorerst das Manga-Magazin Monthly Comic Zenon, das durch North Star Pictures betrieben wird, weiterhin unter dem Namen des Unternehmens als Marke geführt.
