Dieser Manga handelt von Moe und Eiko, zwei Freundinnen, die verschiedener nicht sein könnten. Moe, die Hübsche und allseits Beliebte, und Eiko, das normale Mädchen von nebenan. Doch trotz ihrer Unterschiede halten die beiden stets zusammen und so ist Moes erster Satz, wenn sie wieder einmal von einem Jungen um ein Date gebeten wird: »Ich verabrede mich mit dir, wenn du auch mit meiner Freundin Eiko auskommst und sie so zu schätzen weißt wie ich.« Dass diese von ihr ernst gemeinte Aussage alles andere als einfach zu akzeptieren ist, ist klar. Doch werden die beiden trotz ihres starken Bandes zueinander eines Tages jeder jemanden finden, der sie liebt und trotzdem ihre enge Freundschaft respektiert?

Il segreto dell’amicizia è, come dice il titolo, una storia di amicizia. Anzi, è la storia di due grandi amicizie. La prima è quella tra Moe ed Eiko, compagne di classe inseparabili. Moe è molto carina e riceve in continuazione dichiarazioni d’amore, ma si ritrova a respingerle tutte perché nessuno dei ragazzi interessati a lei è disposto a soddisfare la sua unica richiesta: prendersi cura della sua amica Eiko, considerarla parte integrante della coppia. Finché, un giorno, Tsuchida non acconsente alla sua richiesta. Il ragazzo sembra contento di uscire insieme a Moe ed Eiko, ma la situazione non è delle più rilassanti per la povera Eiko, che si sente di troppo. La seconda grande amicizia è quella fra lo stesso Tsuchida e Narugami, la cui “intromissione” nel bizzarro triangolo andrà a complicare ulteriormente la vicenda. Narugami, infatti, è convinto che la relazione del suo amico non proceda bene per colpa di Eiko, e non perde occasione di farglielo notare. Come si potrà sciogliere quest’ingarbugliata matassa?
