In der Welt von Rieze-Maxia leben Menschen und Elementargeister in Frieden. Doch eine große Katastrophe ließ unzählige Elementargeister verschwinden. La historia se centra en Milla Maxwell, una joven sacerdotisa con el título de “maestra de los espíritus". Cuando los espíritus comienzan a desaparecer en grandes cantidades abandona su templo en Ni Akeria para encontrar el origen de la irregularidad. Frente a un laboratorio de Il Fahn, la ciudad de la noche, se encuentra con un estudiante de medicina llamado Jude Mathis que cambiará el destino de ambos y el de la humanidad.
