Vierzehn Jahre nach dem Schamanenkampf: Hana Asakura, der Sohn des legendären Kriegers Yo, kann sein Talent als Schamane nicht unter Beweis stellen und führt daher ein deprimierendes Leben. Eines Tages tauchen allerdings zwei Personen vor ihm auf und bezeichnen sich als die »andere Asakura-Familie«! Sie fordern Hana und Yo heraus. Das Ganze steht im Zusammenhang mit dem »Flower of Maize« – einem Kampf zwischen Göttern! Jeder Gott wählt hierbei ein Team von Schamanen aus, das aus einem Anführer, zwei Beratern und vier Befehlshabern besteht. Hana wird von Hao als Anführer seines eigenen Teams ausgewählt. Endlich kann er sich beweisen!
