Description

One day, a gate suddenly opens in the Ginza district of the Tokyo metropolis. Ancient Roman imperial soldiers and fantasy monsters such as wyverns, trolls, and goblins pour out of the so-called “Gate”, causing chaos and destruction. After fierce fighting, the JSDF finally managed to repel the attack and neutralise all the attackers. After much political back and forth, the Japanese decide to cross over to the other world. What they find there, however, is beyond their wildest imagination: fertile land, untapped resources and magical beings – in short, every politician’s dream. No wonder this also arouses the interest of other nations.

So, the JSDF sends reconnaissance units to explore the “Special Region”. For Lieutenant Youji Itami – an otaku who only works to finance his hobby – a dream could come true now … if only it weren’t for the responsibility. Not only to his Third Recon Team but also to the new comrades he meets on his journey. He soon has to take care of the elf Tuka, the inquisitive mage Lelei and the apostle Rory. And then, there’s the problem of the Empire! Even Youji can’t run away from such a difficult case. Because the future of both countries – or rather both worlds – is at stake!
