Deltora Quest (2005)

Apprentice blacksmith Lief sets out on a quest to recover seven magic gems in order to defeat the evil Shadow Lord who has overthrown the kingdom of Deltora. These gems must be restored to the legendary Belt of Deltora, which he bears. Unfortunately, only a blood heir to the true, deposed king - who disappeared during the invasion and is presumed dead - can use the Belt to its full potential. Lief is soon joined by former palace guard Barda and Jasmine, a girl who grew up alone in the forest. Together, they must recover the scattered gems from seven terrifying guardians, locate the missing king’s heir, and restore peace and freedom to the land.
