“How often do you fold your toilet paper when you wipe your ass? And once we’re at it, do you do it from the front or from the back?” These and similar questions are asked by the three boys and four girls who give the series its title, and – with a few exceptions – they answer them without even batting an eyelid. In the process, no faux pas is left out that a teenager without any knowledge of sexuality and bodily functions can put his foot in.

For this reason alone, the manga could pass for an extended textbook with a wink and protect many a reader from committing thoughtless embarrassments … But beyond that, existential questions are also addressed and answered by the main characters with almost philosophical equanimity. And once again, typical of Asato Mizu, seemingly normal characters have deep-seated but sympathetic quirks … all of them.

»Wie oft faltest du dein Toilettenpapier, wenn du dir den Hintern abwischst? Und wenn wir einmal dabei sind, erledigst du das von vorn oder von hinten?« Solche und ähnliche Fragen sind es, welche die titelgebenden drei Jungs und vier Mädels sich gegenseitig stellen und – bis auf wenige Ausnahmen – ohne mit der Wimper zu zucken auch beantworten. Dabei wird kein Fettnäpfchen ausgelassen, in das ein in Hinsicht auf Sexualkunde und Körperfunktionen unbedarfter Teenager treten kann.

Allein deshalb dürfte der Manga in diesem Sinne als erweitertes Lehrbuch mit einem Augenzwinkern durchgehen und so manchen Leser vor dem Begehen unbedachter Peinlichkeiten schützen … Darüber hinaus werden aber auch existenzielle Fragen angegangen und von den Hauptcharakteren mit nahezu philosophischem Gleichmut beantwortet. Und einmal mehr haben, typisch für Asato Mizu, normal erscheinende Figuren tiefliegende, aber sympathische Macken. Und zwar alle.
