Die Geschichte beginnt im Jahr 1973. Zwei Menschen sterben bei einer starken Explosion und einzig ihre Hände, die sich gegenseitig festhalten, bilden die Überreste des Paares.
Danach geht die Reise zurück ins Jahr 1965, in dem Hikaru zum ersten Mal im Vietnam ankommt und dort die Brutalität und Grausamkeit des Militärs erfährt.

Entre la desolación creada por la guerra de Vietnam, Hiraku Minami, un joven enrolado en el ejército norteamericano que quiere ser fotógrafo, tiene un encuentro sorprendente con una niña combatiente vietnamita. La misteriosa guerrera se dedica a diezmar las tropas americanas pero perdona la vida a Hikaru... que no descansará hasta capturarla en negativo.

È il 1965 e la guerra ha diviso il nord e il sud del Vietnam. Hikaru Minami, un giovane giornalista nippo-americano arriva a Saigon insieme alle truppe statunitensi. Dopo aver assistito a gravi crimini, Hikaru viene quasi ucciso quando una misteriosa ragazza guerriera, Principessa, arriva in suo soccorso. Potrà tra i due sbocciare l’amore?
