Description

Since her father left the family and her mother died shortly afterwards, twelve-year-old Midori – persuaded by the dubious Mr. Arashi – has been living in a freak show travelling circus. Used to the point of exhaustion for menial tasks, Midori’s perception of everyday life is soon mixed with images of a feverish nightmare.

The harmless Mummy Man harasses the girl, the fire-breathing Futanari Kanabun destroys all her illusions with her uncompromising brutality – moreover, neither the ringmaster Arashi nor the other freaks have any compassion for Midori. Surrounded by deformed beings whose way of life is so different from the “normality” she knows, she feels not only lonely but threatened.

A newcomer named Wonder Masamitsu joins the grotesque troupe and, with his show of squeezing himself into the vessel through the neck of a bottle, brings high attendance to the previously languishing circus. With his arrival, Midori’s fate seems to take a sudden turn for the better: She sees in him her saviour from her miserable life …
