En este mundo hay mucho más de lo que vemos. 4.200 millones de yenes. Junto al mundo de los humanos existe también un extraño mundo habitado por bestias. Cierto día un niño vagabundo que recorre las calles de la gran ciudad entra en este universo desconocido y se convierte en el discípulo de una bestia llamada Kumatetsu, quien decide darle un nuevo nombre: Kyouta. A pesar de los múltiples enfrentamientos entre maestro y aprendiz, el entrenamiento sigue su curso entre aventura y aventura.Con el paso del tiempo tanto el uno como el otro maduran a medida que el vínculo que los une se vuelve cada vez más fuerte y se convierten en lo que podría llamarse una familia.
