Einen dreitägigen Drachenflug von der nächsten Stadt entfernt, wohnt im allertiefsten Wald die Hexe Nina, die auch als die mächtigste Hexe der Welt gilt. Eines Tages bekommt sie Besuch von Iris, einem Magierlehrling, die von ihr lernen und damit ihre Studien voranbringen möchte. Sie muss jedoch schnell feststellen, dass Nina zwar eine mächtige Hexe ist, aber vollkommen unorthodox zaubert und nicht einmal die grundlegenden Prinzipien der Magie beherrscht. Dennoch entscheidet sie sich dazu, bei ihr zu bleiben, anstatt zu ihrer Schule zurückzukehren. Dies ist die Erzählung ihrer friedlichen Tage in einem abgelegen Wald, der vor Magie nur so glüht.
