Kajika’s a trouble making little boy, part of the mysteriously empowered people of the ''Kawa'' clan. When one day he intentionally and cruelly kills a fox, the fox’s spirit comes back and places a curse on the boy, turning him into a half-fox and severely limiting his abilities. The only way to break the curse is to save one thousand lives. And so Kajika sets out on a journey, accompanied by the fox’s spirit. However, when he obtains the egg of the last remaining dragon on Earth, all hell breaks loose as he is forced to take on the forces of a merciless gangster who seeks the power that resides in a dragon’s blood... While at the same time attempting to break the curse and finding out the rumours of what happened to his family of the Kawa clan.

Kajika è un ragazzo dotato di poteri speciali. Da giovane era ribelle e quasi malvagio, e quando uccise senza motivo una volpe lo spirito di questa lo maledisse, trasformandolo in un ragazzo-volpe e condannandolo a salvare mille vite per poter tornare normale. Cacciato dalla sua tribù, è ormai in viaggio da cinque anni, in compagnia dello spirito della volpe, di nome Gigi, con sole altre dieci vite da salvare. Oltre a grandi abilità di combattimento, Kajika possiede anche il particolare potere di far uscire la malvagità dai corpi delle persone, facendole diventare buone. Il suo obiettivo è quello di sciogliere la maledizione arrivando a salvare 1000 vite, per riacquisire la totalità della sua forza, in quanto lo stato di uomo-volpe limita la sua potenza, impedendogli di sfruttare fino in fondo le sue potenzialità. Un giorno il ragazzo incontra Haya, una ragazza inseguita da dei criminali in cerca di un uovo di drago, prezioso poiché rarissimo e poiché si narra che chi beva sangue di drago ottenga enormi poteri.
