Vor fünf Jahren wurde Asahis geliebte Kunstlehrerin Yuki-sensei ermordet und anschließend verbrannt. Ihr 11-jähriger Kindheitsfreund Tenji legte damals ein umfassendes Geständnis ab und verschwand daraufhin in ein Erziehungsheim. Allerdings ließ der Junge offen, warum er die stets fröhliche und hilfsbereite Lehrerin tötete. Asahi hatte den Eindruck, dass die Lehrerin und Tenji sich gut verstanden. Bis heute ist es ihr ein Rätsel, was zu jener Zeit wirklich passierte. Um der Kunstlehrerin zu gedenken, besucht Asahi jährlich an Yuki-senseis Todestag ihr Grab und legt Blumen nieder. Dieses Mal trifft sie dabei auf Itsuki, den jüngeren Bruder der Verstorbenen. Er ist noch immer voller Trauer und empfindet abgrundtiefen Hass für den Täter. Die beiden schließen sich zusammen und wollen gemeinsam herausfinden, was sich an jenem Tag wirklich zugetragen hat. Sie beginnen Nachforschungen anzustellen …
