Volume one consists of eight episodes of laid-back detective stories, that include Shimeki’s past (his ex-wife, his long-lost brother), taking measures to increase clients, and the everyday scene at their workplace.

In der neu eröffneten Suehiro-Detektei arbeiten der lässige Hisago, der Hunde liebende Chefermittler Shimeki und der Verwalter Tsukumo. Da sie sehr wenige zahlungsfähige Kunden haben, vertreiben sie sich die Zeit eben damit sich gegenseitig aufzuziehen oder miteinander zu streiten. Shimeki muss sich zusätzlich noch mit seiner messerschwingenden Exfrau und seinem kleinen klammernden Bruder herumärgern. Kann die Detektei so überleben?
