Long ago...When human civilization strove to resist inhabiting a war-torn world, there were powerful gods hiding within the shadows, waiting for its demise. In the near future... the demise of he human world i will mark the reemergence of the era of the gods...
Tengujin spielt im Japan der Zukunft. Der Krieg hat das Land gespalten. Osten und Westen sind zu verfeindeten Nationen geworden. Die Götter der Welt, hauptsächlich Tengu, hatten großen Einfluss auf das Geschehen. Mozuku will den Krieg beenden und macht sich mit seinem Zwillingsbruder Shinonime auf den Weg zum Gott des Westens Sai.

Die zweite Geschichte heißt Zanouka. In seinem früheren Leben war einer der Zwillinge ein Sänger, der Sohn eines verarmten Feudalherren. Er glaubt nicht an die Existenz der Tengu, bis sein Gesang einen von ihnen anlockt. Dieser verbirgt sein Gesicht hinter einer Maske. Nachdem der Tengu verschwunden ist, setzt Mozuku alles daran, den Unbekannten wiederzusehen.
