Der Schüler Jun Sakurada verlässt kaum das Haus und weigert sich, in die Schule zu gehen. Stattdessen hat er ein merkwürdiges Hobby: Er kauft über das Internet absurde Artikel und schickt sie knapp vor Ablauf der Umtauschfrist zurück. Eines Tages bekommt Jun eine exquisite Antikpuppe geliefert. Er findet an ihrem Rücken eine Feder und zieht sie aus Neugier auf, worauf die Puppe ‒ Shinku ‒ zum Leben erwacht.

En el mundo de las Rozen Maiden las muñecas cobran vida, los ositos de peluche son peligrosos asesinos y los espejos son portales a otras dimensiones. Su existencia parece ser un mito, pero la leyenda se vuelve real cuando Jun, un joven solitario, recibe en un envío a Shinku, una de estas muñecas. Tras tomar al pobre Jun como criado, empezará a involucrarle en sus misteriosos secretos. Atrévete a adentrarte en el extraño mundo se extiende al otro lado del espejo y descubre el origen de Shinku y las otras Rozen Maiden.

Sakurada Jun è un ragazzo dall’apparenza scontrosa e insicura che ripudia il contatto con gli estranei, al punto di rifiutarsi di andare a scuola, creando grandi preoccupazioni nella sorella maggiore Nori, che, a causa dell’assenza dei genitori, si prende cura di lui. Il passatempo preferito di Jun è ordinare cianfrusaglie via internet per poi rispedirle al mittente utilizzando il diritto di recesso. Un giorno, dopo aver risposto per gioco a uno strano annuncio trovato in rete, si vede recapitare una valigia contenente una misteriosa bambola incredibilmente verosimile… al punto da essere viva! Non solo: Shinku, questo il suo nome, è altezzosa e capricciosa, e tratta Jun come il suo servo. Ma le cose si complicano quando un misterioso aggressore mette in pericolo la vita di Jun: se il ragazzo vorrà salvarsi, dovrà accettare un patto inscindibile con Shinku…
