Kikuru Madan ist ein exzellenter Monsterjäger, der seine Arbeit beenden möchte, um nicht mehr seine Jugend zu verschwenden. Der Grund dafür ist die Heirat eines Freundes. Eines Tages fragt ihn die Rezeptionistin seiner Gilde, ob er auf die neue Rekrutin Hitamu Kyan aufpassen kann, um ihr das Handwerk zu zeigen. Sein Gedanke ist, dass er sie ausbilden möchte und dann in den Ruhestand geht, ohne sich Sorgen um die Stadt machen zu müssen. Leider stellt sich heraus, dass sie als Kampfkünstlerin nicht nur nutzlos ist, sie zieht die Monster regelrecht an!
