Description

The young Mariel Imari is half-Japanese, who was born into a family of detectives and currently lives in Venice. Her father, Marko, had originally been from the same city, where he someday met her mother, Mariko, and eloped to Japan with her. During the twelve years they spent together, they also had children, one of whom is Mariel. Since her father went back to his hometown one day but soon disappeared, he was declared dead. He has named Mariel as heiress to his huge mansion, but in order to receive the inheritance, she must recover a stolen painting, the “Forget me not”, which was stolen from her father by the famous thief Vecchio.

Mariel is a decent detective, but she doesn’t really feel like working, especially since her financial situation is pretty lousy. But what is left for her to do? The family butler Cornelius strictly insists that the will has to be executed, so Mariel roams Venice to find the thief and solve cases for her clients on the side. However, the art thief Vecchio is still active and soon shows interest in the young detective …

Doch was bleibt ihr übrig?
Mariel Imari vive a Venezia, dove fa l’investigatrice privata.
