È un giorno d’inverno, il clima è perfetto per un buon curry. Lo studente universitario Totonou sta tagliando le cipolle quando la polizia bussa alla sua porta. Un agente gli comunica che lì vicino c’è stato un omicidio e lo porta in commissariato, dove una dopo l’altra gli vengono sbattute in faccia prove che sembrano incastrarlo … Totonou Kuno, però, ha una propensione per risolvere i cosiddetti «misteri», e con calma e gentilezza arriverà a capire anche questo.
