Hiromu Aikawa ist ein kleiner und schwacher Junge, der in jedem Sport kläglich versagt. Trotzdem möchte er wenigstens in einer Sport-AG sein, deshalb versucht er dies an dem Tag der Eintragungen für die verschiedenen Sport AGs – doch er versagt wieder. Nachdem er es bereits ohne Erfolg bei zwölf verschiedenen Sport AGs probiert hatte, stößt er auf die Pingpong-AG. Unerwarteterweise hat er bei dieser Sportart deutlich mehr Talent als bei den anderen. Er wird in den Pingpong-AG aufgenommen und nun möchte Hiromu noch viel besser werden. Leichter gesagt als getan: Der Präsident der AG ist sehr streng, deshalb kann Hiromu nicht immer mit seinem schwachen
Körper ganz mithalten. Aber so leicht lässt sich Hiromu nicht unterkriegen …
