Industrialisation is in full swing in Yellow City. Clouds of smoke darken the sky and do not even allow its inhabitants to see the stars at night. Theo, who has a special talent for repairing machines, grows up in this city. He once dreamed of having great adventures, but now he works as a mechanic in “Chikuwa’s Repair Shop”. One day, he finds a young girl with only one wing on her back, who can no longer remember her past. She introduces herself as Mia, and after Theo repairs her wings, the two begin a strange journey that will take them beyond the clouds.

In Yellow City ist die Industrialisierung im vollen Gange. Rauchwolken verdunkeln den Himmel und lassen nicht einmal zu, dass ihre Bewohner nachts die Sterne sehen können. In dieser Stadt wächst Theo auf, der ein besonderes Talent dafür besitzt, Maschinen zu reparieren. Einst träumte er davon, große Abenteuer zu erleben, doch nun arbeitet er als Mechaniker in »Chikuwas Repair Shop«. Eines Tages findet er ein junges Mädchen mit nur einem Flügel auf dem Rücken, das sich nicht mehr an seine Vergangenheit erinnern kann. Sie stellt sich als Mia vor und nachdem Theo ihre Flügel repariert hat, beginnt für die beiden eine sonderbare Reise, die sie bis über die Wolken hinaus führen wird.
