Vor langer Zeit gewährten die Götter einigen Tieren große Kräfte … aber nicht alle Tiere nutzten ihre magischen Fähigkeiten zum Guten. Als Senzou über die Stränge schlägt, verdonnert ihn die Sonnengöttin Amaterasu zur Strafe mit der Betreuung des Tanukis Manpachi. Natürlich ist der Fuchsgeist wenig begeistert von seinem neuen Job als Babysitter. Doch schnell erliegt er dem Charme des fröhlichen kleinen Kerls und gemeinsam stellen sie sich den Aufgaben der Wölfe, der Diener der Göttin – denn es gibt viele Abenteuer zu erleben in der Bakemono, der Welt der japanischen Mythenwesen.
