Seit langer Zeit werden die Menschen einer Fantasiewelt mit magisch-mechanischem Anstrich von den Crows, krähenartigen Monsterwesen, heimgesucht. Die Legende besagt, dass es einst die Scarecrows gab, die den Menschen im Kampf gegen diese Monster zur Seite standen, dann aber eines Tages auf geheimnisvolle Weise verschwanden.

Engell, die Tochter des Königs, glaubt fest daran, dass es die Scarecrows wirklich gegeben hat und macht sich auf die Suche nach ihnen. Doch als sie tatsächlich einen von ihnen findet, beginnt ihr Abenteuer gerade erst.
