St. Kleio Academy is a very exclusive school: all of the students are clones of famous historical figures such as Beethoven, Queen Elizabeth I, Napoleon, Mozart, and Freud. All of them, that is, except for Shiro Kamiya. As Shiro struggles to adapt to this unusual campus, St. Kleio’s first graduate, a clone of John F. Kennedy, is killed. Are the clones doomed to repeat the fate of their genetic progenitors, or can they create their own destinies? And how does a normal boy like Shiro fit in?

Die St. Kleio Akademie ist eine sehr exklusive Lehreinrichtung, die nur von einer ganz besonderen Art von Schülern besucht wird: Klone von berühmten historischen Persönlichkeiten! So drücken hier u. a. Beethoven, Königin Elisabeth I., Napoleon, Mozart und Freud wie gewöhnliche Teenager gemeinsam die Schulbank. Nur ein einziger scheint irgendwie so gar nicht ins Bild zu passen, der stinknormale Shiro Kamiya, der sehr überfordert mit seinen mehr als nur prominenten Mitschülern ist. Während er so versucht seinen chaotischen Alltag zu meistern, fällt St. Kleios erster Absolvent, der Klon von John F. Kennedy, jedoch plötzlich einem Attentat zum Opfer.

Sind die Klone dazu verdammt die gleichen Lebenswege einzuschlagen wie ihre Originale oder wird es ihnen möglich sein, ihr Schicksal selbst zu bestimmen? Und wie passt ein ganz normaler Junge wie Shiro in diese gesamte Situation?

Ammettiamolo, farsi degli amici il primo giorno di scuola è difficile. Ci si sente sempre un po’ in imbarazzo ad attaccare bottone con degli estranei, e si ha paura di fare brutte figure che possono segnare il destino in pochi, sventurati, secondi. Lo sa bene Shiro Kamiya che, figlio di uno dei professori del bizzarro istituto Kleio, si trova a dover frequentare una scuola in cui tutti gli altri studenti non sono altro che cloni dei personaggi storici più importati della storia dell’umanità. Cloni il cui destino pare inspiegabilmente legato a quello dei “genitori”. E quando a scuola si presenta John F. Kennedy, gli eventi potrebbero prendere inaspettatamente una brutta piega…
