Pastana, die Königin von Amehs, herrscht über ein blühendes Land und müsste eigentlich sehr glücklich sein. Jedoch ist ihr Herz getrübt und die quälende Ungewissheit über den Verbleib ihrer jüngeren Schwester Kanishia belastet sie sehr. Vor vielen Jahren wurde Amehs von Ägypten angegriffen und in einem der Gefechte verstarb Pastanas Vater, der König. Vor seinem Ableben befahl er, seine Töchter in Sicherheit zu bringen. Dabei wurden die Schwestern getrennt und sahen sich nie wieder. Nun, nach dreizehn Jahren, trifft Pastanas die Tochter des Generals, der einst ihren Vater tötete und stellt überrascht fest, dass sie enorme Ähnlichkeit mit Kanishia hat.
