Tsugumi Project (2019)

Leon, an elite European soldier, is sent on a special mission. Together with his team, he is to travel to Japan, which was razed to the ground a good two hundred years ago. Supposedly, there is a weapon called Tsugumi, which is so dangerous that the world has preferred to watch the whole country being turned into a nuclear wasteland rather than allow this project to be completed. But the mission is in danger of failing from the start, as Leon finds himself the only survivor in Tokyo Bay after a plane crash. Protected only by a simple radiation suit, he must try to survive in the foreign land and discovers that the island is not as deserted as his superiors had claimed.

Leon, ein europäischer Elitesoldat, wird auf eine spezielle Mission geschickt. Gemeinsam mit seinem Team soll er nach Japan reisen, das vor gut zweihundert Jahren dem Erdboden gleichgemacht wurde. Angeblich befindet sich dort eine Waffe, genannt Tsugumi, die so gefährlich ist, dass die Welt lieber zugesehen hat, wie das ganze Land in eine atomare Wüste verwandelt wird, als zuzulassen, dass dieses Projekt vollendet wird. Doch die Mission droht, von Anfang an zu scheitern, denn nach einem Flugzeugabsturz findet sich Leon als einziger Überlebender in der Bucht von Tokio wieder. Nur durch einen einfachen Strahlenschutzanzug geschützt muss er versuchen, in der Fremde zu überleben, und stellt dabei fest, dass die Insel gar nicht so verlassen ist, wie seine Vorgesetzten behauptet hatten.
