Die Geschichte handelt von Ryner Lute, einem teilnahmslosen Schüler der Roland Imperial Special Academy. Eines Tages beginnt das Roland Empire einen Krieg gegen das benachbarte Reich Estaboole, dem viele von Ryners Mitschülern zum Opfer fallen.
