Nabiki Oukawa ist ein energiegeladenes und heiteres Mädchen, das den Traum hat, eines Tages eine Stofftiermacherin zu werden. Der Traumberuf ihres Klassenkameraden Itsuru Fukamachi ist es, ein Metallspielzeughersteller zu werden. Schon seit Nabiki dem Kunsthandwerksclub der Kousei Oberschule beigetreten ist, arbeiten sie und Itsuru hart daran, Profis zu werden. Aber plötzlich muss sie aufgrund ihrer schlechten schulischen Leistungen für eine Woche zusätzlichen Unterricht nehmen und hat ein Verbot während dieser Zeit an Clubaktivitäten teilzunehmen. Doch wie soll sie nun ein Spielzeug für den, vom Schülerrat durchgeführten, Qualitätscheck herstellen?
