Shinta ist auf der scheinbar ewigen Suche nach einer Freundin. Der Schüler gesteht einem Mädchen nach dem anderen seine Gefühle und wird jedes Mal abgewiesen. Als er schon am Verzweifeln ist, wünscht er sich an einem Schrein eine Freundin. Obwohl er mitten im Wunsch abbricht ‒ weil er lieber durch den eigenen Verdienst eine Freundin haben möchte ‒ erscheint eine Gestalt und will ihm seinen Wunsch erfüllen. Diese will Shinta erst weglassen, wenn dieser sich etwas wünscht und so wünscht er sich, ohne lang zu überlegen, eine Braut. Am nächsten Morgen entdeckt er dann neben sich im Bett ein Mädchen. Sie stellt sich als Isana, seine Braut, vor. Außerdem ist sie die Göttin, die ihm den Wunsch erfüllt hat und nun muss Shinta für sie als Agent arbeiten und gegen die Agenten von anderen Göttern um Territorium kämpfen.
