Miku Senou ist eine normale Highschool-Schülerin, die gerade ihren ersten festen Freund gefunden hat. Ihr Leben verläuft eigentlich völlig normal, wäre da nicht der weniger normale Job ihrer Mutter, die als Biologin sehr oft verreisen muss und Miku meist auf diese Reisen mitnimmt.

Diesmal soll die Reise zum Südpol gehen und Miku fürchtet schon ihre gerade erst aufkeimende Beziehung schon wieder zu verlieren. Allerdings überrascht ihre Mutter sie damit, dass sie anders als sonst nicht mitreisen muss. Sie soll zu Hause bleiben, jedoch unter der Bedingung, dass ein »Beschützer« bei ihr einzieht. Es stellt sich heraus, dass ihre Mutter ihren ziemlich zynischen Lehrer Nishizono dazu erwählt hat … wie soll Miku bloß mit dieser Situation zurechtkommen?!
