Attention: The World is mine est une véritable bombe! A travers la ballade sauvage de deux pieds nickelés, apprentis terroristes aux comportements déviants, Hideki Arai brosse un portrait au vitriol du Japon contemporain, à la violence saisissante …Toshi est un jeune homme à l’apparence d’étudiant modèle; Mon-chan a tout de la bête. Unis envers et contre tout, ils parcourent le Japon au gré de leurs caprices, disséminant des bombes artisanales et semant partout le chaos. Tandis que parallèlement, un mystérieux animal, baptisée par les médias Higumadon („Ours brun“), décime sur son passage troupeaux, promeneurs et chasseurs … Tissant deux intrigues parallèles, Arai promène son lecteur entre fascination et dégoût pour les agissements de ses deux „héros“, électrons libres errant dans un Japon en perte de repères.
