Während der Ming Dynastie lebt am Kaiserhof in Peking der böswillige aber bei Hof mächtiger Eunuch Tsau Schau-Tsin. Seine finsteren Machenschaften sind gefürchtet. So lässt er den treuen und rechtschaffenen Minister Ue Tsien hinrichten und dessen 3 Kinder in die Verbannung nach Drachentor, einer gefährlichen Gebirgsgegend, bringen.
