Description

60 years ago, a man fell in love with a woman for whom he sewed a doll that was a spitting image of her. However, he did not know that a doll could also fall in love with a human being. One day, the woman’s body was found and the doll maker was suspected of being the murderer. He died under a cruel torture, and the last thing he saw was the doll’s face. Because she could not be without him, she lingered at his grave so that she could be with him for all eternity.

In the present, a group of very different people are invited to an old doll museum: the sculptor Hae-Mi, the photographer Jung-Ki, the high school student Sun-Young and Young-Ha, who talks to her doll Demian as if it were a living being. Only the male model Tae-Seong invited himself. The initiative came from curator Choi Jin-Wan, who had these people gathered at the doll museum to model for doll maker Im Jae-Won. Jung-Ki takes photos of the guests, and based on them, Jae-Won creates her latest dolls. The latter firmly believes that things also have a soul, which is given to them by people, provided the emotional bond with them is strong enough. With dolls – so it is said – their soul wanders in and out through their eyes.

Suddenly, strange things happen, and soon the body of one of the guests is found. Do the dolls really have a soul, and are they the ones behind all this? What is the deal with Mi-Na, who is also at the doll museum but was not invited there? And is there a connection to the tragically ending love story between the doll maker and his lover from 60 years ago?
