Synopsis

At her parents’ request, tomboyish Ji Seung-Yeon was supposed to study music in London but failed the entrance exam due to her unconventional performance. So she heads back to South Korea and meets Woo-Hyun, the band leader of the popular music group M2, on the plane. Although Woo-Hyun is very popular with female fans, he is notorious among his band colleagues for his hot-tempered and authoritarian behaviour. The flight ends badly for both of them, as Seung-Yeon throws up on Woo-Hyun while going to the toilet. After landing, Seung-Yeon stays with her best friend, Kwon Ji-Woo, and his grandmother. Meanwhile, the latter is preparing for his audition at Sunny Entertainment, which is looking for successors to the ageing members of M2. An internal rule states that the members must not be older than 23.

Ji-Woo’s nervousness causes him to fail his audition. The four new members of the next generation are quickly found. However, recordings of the performances go viral and enrage the fans, who believe that M2 belongs to them. Sunny Entertainment, therefore, finds a compromise to satisfy everyone. A second audition is to take place, with the fans deciding the finalists this time. Once again, four participants are to remain, competing with the winners from the first audition so that, in the end, a team of four will form the next generation. Ji-Woo takes his second chance, and Seung-Yeon also wants to try it. But nobody can find out that Seung-Yeon is a girl because M2 is an all-boy band!
