Bel Ami (2013)

Dokgo Ma-Te is a “Flower Boy”; a very handsome young man – and he knows it! He has made it his goal to lure the rich with his extraordinary looks so that they will finance his life.
One day, he comes in contact with a strange woman, Hong Yoo-Ra, who has been following him for a long time. She tells him about his past of being the illegitimate son of one of the richest men in Korea. She gives him a mission to find out more about his family: He is to seduce ten different women and learn about their ways of making money. Ma-Te accepts the deal.
With the help of Kim Bo-Tong, the daughter of Yoo-Ra’s friend, he sets out to complete his mission. Bo-Tong is in love with him and would do anything for him. But the more they immerse themselves in the world of business, the more they learn the lessons of life. And the first thing Ma-Te has to learn is that money doesn’t grow on trees.

Eines Tages fällt ihm eine Frau auf, Hong Yoo-Ra, die ihm schon länger folgt und scheinbar alles über ihn weiß. Sie eröffnet Ma-Te, dass er der uneheliche Sohn einer der reichsten und einflussreichsten Männer Koreas ist und gibt ihm eine Mission: Zehn in der Wirtschaft erfolgreiche Frauen zu verführen, und von ihnen die Kunst des Geldmachens zu erlernen. Ma-Te geht auf den Deal ein, schon allein, um endlich seine Herkunft zu ergründen, ist er doch ohne Vater aufgewachsen.
Ihm zur Seite steht Kim Bo-Tong, die Tochter der Freundin seiner Mutter. Bo-Tong ist schwer in Ma-Te verliebt und würde alles für ihn tun. Und je mehr Ma-Te in die Welt, in der Geld und Wirtschaftlichkeit dominieren, eintaucht, desto größere Hürden müssen die beiden nehmen. Denn er merkt schnell, dass das Geld nicht einfach auf der Straße liegt.
