Nach dem Mord an zwei Schulmädchen wird ein 18-jähriger Naoto Funamura als Hauptverdächtiger verhaftet. Der Fall zieht die Aufmerksamkeit der Öffentlichkeit und der Medien auf sich. Im Fokus sind dabei nicht nur Täter und Opfer, sondern auch die Familie des Täters. Bereits nach kurzer Zeit verbreiten sich Morddrohungen im Internet und Reporter belagern das Haus der Funamuras.

Der Polizeidetektiv Takumi Katsuura wird daher beauftragt Saori Funamura, die 15-jährige Tochter der Familie, zu beschützen und mit ihr unterzutauchen. Doch die neu gewonnen Feinde der Familie sowie Reporter versuchen ihnen auf den Fersen zu bleiben.
