Der emotionslose Wissenschaftsfreak Madoka Tsutsumi und die ausdrucksstarke Jockette Sachi Aguma besuchen die gleiche Hochschule. Die beiden sind wie Öl und Wasser und haben nichts gemeinsam und verstehen die Gedankengänge des jeweils anderen überhaupt nicht. Doch ein bizarrer Teilzeitjob bringt die beiden näher zusammen. Was ist denn dieser bizarre Job? Geistern ihre Hilfe anbieten, damit sie auf die andere Seite gelangen können.

Das ganze begann damit, dass Madoka nach der Beerdigung einer alten Freundin anfing, Geister zu sehen. Der Tod, ein Hasenkostüm tragend und ziemlich oberflächlich handelnd, zwingt ihn schließlich dazu, als Führer für die Toten zu arbeiten. Dabei kommt heraus, dass Sachi, welche Madoka zutiefst verachtet, bereits dort arbeitet.
