Yui Kashiwazakis dreijähriger Sohn wird an einem normalen Tag auf dem Heimweg vom Kindergarten aus dem Nichts entführt. Ihr Ehemann Yoichi, Professor für künstliche Intelligenz an der Universität, zieht sich auf Grund des Vorfalls aus der normalen Welt zurück.
