Als Akira Suei noch kein war, hatte seine Mutter eine Affäre mit dem jungen Nachbarn. Sueis Mutter und der junge Mann begingen Selbstmord, bei welchem sie Dynamit benutzten. Diese Erfahrung verarbeitend machte Suei seinen Abschluss an der Oberschule und begann anschließend, in einer Fabrik zu arbeiten. Nachdem er dort kündigte, zieht er nach Tokyo und beginnt einen Job in der Erotikmagazin-Branche. Später wird Suei der Chefredakteur eines bekannteten Erotikmagazins der Achtzigerjahre.
