Mitsuo Kumada war früher Frontsänger der Punkband „Uma no Hone“, ist innzwischen aber ein Mann mittleren Alters und arbeitet auf einer Baustelle. Dabei macht er Probleme und wird von seinem Arbeitgeber gefeuert. Auf Grund dessen wird er auch aus dem Arbeiterwohnheim rausgeworfen. Mitsuo zieht darauf in eine Wohngemeinschaft. Dort trifft er auf Yuka Sakurahonmachi. Sie ist Mitglied einer Idol-Gruppe und möchte Singer-Songwriterin werden.
