Do-Jin und Jae-Yi kennen sich aus Kindertagen, in der Oberschule entwickelten sich sogar Gefühle zwischen den beiden. Doch was Jae-Yi damals nicht ahnt, ist welche Familie hinter Do-Jin steht: Sein Vater ist ein absoluter Psychopath und mordsgefährlich. Und eines nachts tötet er Jae-Yis Eltern. Und in dieser Nacht trennten sich die Wege der beiden Schüler.

Jahre später hat Do-Jin den Weg als Polizist eingeschlagen. Mit dem Aufklären von Kriminalfällen und der Betreuung von Opfern versucht er sich die Sünde seines Vaters zu vergeben. Jae-Yi folgte in der Zwischenzeit dem Erbe ihrer Mutter und wurde ebenfalls Schauspielerin, doch ihre Panikattacken machen die Arbeit so gut wie unmöglich. Per Zufall treffen Do-Jin und Jae-Yi wieder aufeinander …
