Mizuho ist eine vielversprechende Turnerin in der rhythmischen Sportgymnastik. Die Ärzte diagnostizieren ihr eine schnell voranschreitende Krankheit am Rückenmark, die schon bald dazu führt, dass sie von der Hüfte abwärts gelähmt ist und im Rollstuhl sitzen muss. Mizuho ist am Boden zerstört. Inmitten ihrer Depression lernt sie jedoch durch einen Zufall die Schönheit von Musik kennen und beginnt, Gitarre zu spielen. Mithilfe der Musik arbeitet Mizuho von da an an einem neuen Traum.
