Hakushu Kitahara ist ein genialer Dichter, welcher sein Leben mit rücksichtsloser Hingabe lebt. Er trinkt bei jeder Möglichkeit und hat diverse Affären mit verheirateten Frauen. Zur selben Zeit hat Kosaku Yamada ein hartes Leben als Musiker. Nun werden die beiden von einem Kindermagazin gefragt, ob sie nicht zusammen ein Kinderlied komponieren möchten. Obwohl die beiden Männer komplett unterschiedliche Ansichten haben, die sich in vielen Bereichen sogar komplett gegensätzlich sind, gelingt es ihnen viele Lieder zu erstellen, welche vielen Kindern Freude bereiten. Nun werden die beiden gebeten ein Kriegslied zu komponieren ,um so Kinder dazu zu ermutigen aufs Schlachtfeld zu ziehen …
