Description

China at the time of the Qing Dynasty: in 1838, the official Lin Zexu is sent to Guangzhou by the Chinese Emperor Daoguang to stop the mass sale of opium by English dealers to the Chinese people. Zexu manages to destroy tons of opium and tie the hands of the dealers. In response, British trade representative Charles Elliot is sent to Guangzhou. With a clever scheme, Elliot enables the British to attack China. This heralds the First Opium War.

China zur Zeit der Qing-Dynastie: Im Jahr 1838 wird der Beamte Lin Zexu vom chinesischen Kaiser Daoguang nach Kanton entsandt, um dem massenhaften Opiumverkauf englischer Händler an das chinesische Volk Einhalt zu gebieten. Zexu schafft es, tonnenweise Opium zu vernichten und den Dealern die Hände zu binden. Als Reaktion darauf wird der britische Außenhandelsinspektor Charles Elliot nach Kanton geschickt. Mit einem geschickten Manöver ermöglicht Elliot es den Briten, China anzugreifen. Dies läutet den Ersten Opiumkrieg ein.
